What happens in a typical session?
This depends on the students age, fitness and general
needs. We aim to introduce Israeli Defensive Strategies
and Techniques which are some of the most proven in the
world.
You will be introduced to knife threats, how to escaping
from grabs, chokes and multiple attackers. You will learn
what to do if you end up on the floor or are attacked from a
position of disadvantage or injured. Krav Maga techniques
are simple to learn and understand. More importantly they
have been proven to work by again and again by Police,
Military forces and civilians in some of the most worlds
most dangerous environments. Questions are always wel-
come.
Do I have to be fit.
No. Students generally come to get fit rather than vice
versa. The instructor is a qualified fitness coach and will
support your training if you have concerns. Krav Maga is an
outstanding conditioning system and those training twice a
week or more see significant results in around 8 weeks.
Will I get injured.
Students place trust in the instructor, we don't abuse this.
Your safety and confidence is is considered throughout
planning and teaching. As a professional organisation it is
essential our training is of the highest standard; safe and
well structured. In fact the first principle of Krav Maga is
‘Do not get in hurt’. You can expect bumbs and bruises
though, wear them with pride, you’ll earn them.
How often should I train ?
“Repetition is the mother of all skill” Tony Robbins
As much as possible. Whilst Krav Maga is simple to learn
students really need at least 2 sessions a week to experi-
ence optimum gains. Many students train considerably
more, some train less. Our research has shown that stu-
dents training twice weekly experience greater gains in fit-
ness, weight loss and ability. They also report greater satis-
faction with training and faster advancement toward their
goals.
