Is the Qualification recognised by councils/sports associations or by insurers in the UK ?
Insurers require a Level 3 or similar qualification for those regularly teaching adults.
Does the Qualification attract grants or funding ?
Trainees applying for formal qualifications may be entitled to grants and start up costs from local government.
Is First Aid Training included ?
All good training providers will provide First Aid Training or require proof of it from their Instructors.
Is student, member to member insurance included ?
Most organisations will insure your students for free. If they dont allow around £15 per head for insurance.
What support do you offer after completion of the course ?
Good organisations offer lesson planning, ongoing support and business mentoring to new instructors. Find out what exactly is on offer after your course is finished. Remember training is not support - its a different thing. Starting out you need business mentoring and support and this is when you need it the most.
Are there any additional monthly fees or costs?
It is common practice to charge a licensing fee to active instructors. This can be fixed rate or on a % of your membership fees. Are you getting your moneys worth ?
